Light is about more than illumination. It is emotional, rhythm, and atmospheric shifts between subtlety and spectacle to serve the story. Whether crafting dynamic contrast or gentle transitions, I seek to find balance between art and function.
Collaboration is at the heart of my process. Every project is an opportunity to engage in deep creative dialogue, listening and responding to the needs of the production. I find great joy in the interplay of design elements and the shared goal of immersive storytelling.
I have been incredibly lucky to spend the last ten years working as a designer, assistant programmer and electrician across the worlds of theater, opera, broadcast television and nightlife. Synthesizing the aesthetics from this wide variety of experience across genres contributed immensely to my style as a designer.
